The Chain Gang - Who & what are we ?

The Chain Gang are a 10 piece band specialising in predominantly 1960's soul music - think of the music of The Blues Brothers and The Commitments and you won't be far wrong. However, we do like to throw a few different numbers into the mix which do set us apart from the herd.....you'll have to see us to understand ! Y'know, we can't help but rock it up a bit - we call ourselves a "Rock 'n' Soul" Band !

The Chain Gang - Where are we ?

The Chain Gang are based in Bristol, England and play throughout the South West region and South Wales. We've got cars - oh yes!

The Chain Gang - What's the "Line-Up"?

The Chain Gang are an 10 piece band with a traditional backing band - vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and backing vocals PLUS we have our very own 4 piece brass section comprising trumpet, alto sax, tenor sax and baritone-sax.

The Chain Gang - Where do we play ?

The Chain Gang have played Pubs, Clubs, Parties and Functions including weddings, birthday parties and singles clubs throughout the South-West and always go down well - the material is very danceable and crosses the generation gaps ! Clubs we've played that you might know inclue "The Prom" in Gloucester Road, "The Fleece and Firkin" and "Fiddlers".

The Chain Gang - Band Philosophy.

The Chain Gang wanna PARTY !...and we want our audience to party hard too ! We play good danceable fun-time music that will get as many people of as many generations as possible on the dance floor. We want a good time as much as the audience do !
